A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Emmanuel started 52 total games over his collegiate career at Charlotte and Florida State, including all 27 games over his two seasons for the Seminoles. He helped FSU produce a 23-4 record while leading the ACC in scoring offense both seasons. He earned All-ACC First Team honors and was selected an All-American by Phil Steele during his senior season of 2023 while playing both left and right guard.
A two-time ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week honoree, Emmanuel helped Florida State win an ACC Championship behind an undefeated regular season. The Seminoles led the conference in scoring offense, total touchdowns, rushing touchdowns, yards per completion, fewest interceptions thrown and fewest turnovers. Emmanuel helped protect ACC Player of the Year and ACC Offensive Player of the Year Jordan Travis, who led the conference in passing efficiency, yards per pass attempt and fewest interceptions while finishing fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting.
In 2022, Emmanuel helped block for an offense that led the nation with an average of 7.46 plays per game of at least 20 yards and tied for the national lead with eight touchdown drives of at least 90 yards. The Seminoles were one of two teams in the country that averaged at least 270 passing yards and 210 rushing yards per game that season.
Emmanuel began his playing career at Charlotte, starting 25 total games from 2019 through 2021, earning all-conference honors on two occasions.
Emmanuel earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Charlotte in 2022, while he completed a bachelor’s degree in social science and interdisciplinary studies from Florida State in 2023.
