This past season, Liddle helped K-State rank 10th nationally by allowing 1.08 sacks per game, while the offensive line paved the way for 5.09 yards per carry to rank fifth in school history and 23rd in the country. The Wildcats broke a 71-year school record when they rushed for 472 yards at Utah and blocked for Joe Jackson’s school-record 293 rushing yards against the Utes. The 2025 season saw center Sam Hecht pick up All-Big 12 First Team honors in addition to receiving votes for the Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year award. Also, John Pastore earned All-Big 12 Second Team accolades.
Liddle helped K-State finish in the top 15 nationally in four offensive categories in 2024, including rushing yards per carry (second; 6.08), sacks allowed per game (10th; 1.00), rushing yards per game (11th; 215.5) and tackles for loss allowed per game (12th; 3.92). The Wildcats’ ranking in sacks allowed was their highest since at least 2003 and best mark since 2000 (0.69), while it was their highest ranking in tackles for loss allowed since 2008 (eighth) and best mark since at least 1999.
The 2024 Wildcats also ranked in the top 10 in school history in 15 game or season categories, including school records for offensive yards per play (6.57) and rushing yards per carry (6.08), as well as a No. 6 ranking in rushing yards (2,801).
Liddle worked the previous two seasons as the tight ends/fullbacks coach at UTEP. During the 2022 season, he saw Trent Thompson record nine receptions for 203 yards and a pair of scores to lead all UTEP tight ends, while he tutored James Tupou, who excelled from the fullback position by hauling in 12 receptions for 152 yards and two touchdowns.
Liddle went to UTEP after working as the offensive line coach at Abilene Christian during the 2021 season. Under Liddle’s guidance, the ACU offensive line ranked No. 19 nationally in fewest sacks allowed per game (1.27) in addition to a No. 35 national ranking in rushing offense (164.2 yards per game).
In his first stint in Manhattan, Liddle worked as an Offensive Graduate Assistant during the 2015 and 2016 seasons before serving as an Offensive Quality Control Coach and Assistant Director of Recruiting for the 2017 through 2020 seasons. Over those six years, the Wildcats totaled four bowl appearances.
Liddle played in 26 career games over the 2011 through 2014 seasons as the Wildcats accumulated a 38-14 record with a Big 12 Championship in 2012, while they advanced to four bowl games.
A native of Oak Grove, Missouri, Liddle earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Kansas State in 2014, while he obtained his MBA in 2017. He is married to the former Kelli Krier.
