Named the 2023 Kansas 2A Defensive Player of the Year by Sports in Kansas and to the Top 11 team by the Kansas Football Coaches Association... A first team all-state performer by Sports in Kansas, Wichita Eagle and the Kansas Football Coaches Association as a senior in 2023 after carding 110 tackles and anchoring a defense that allowed only 5.0 points per game... Also earned first team all-state honors as a junior from Sports in Kansas and the Wichita Eagle, while he was a runner up for the defensive player of the year award as both a sophomore and junior... The first wrestler in school history to place at the state meet.
PERSONAL: Holden Bass was born July 6, 2005, in Sabetha, Kansas... Son of Cory and Angie Bass... Has one sibling, Aydan... Majoring in physical therapy.
