Earned a medical redshirt after injuring his foot in his one season at Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kan., during this 2014-15 season.

High School

A four-year letterman at St. John High School in St. John, Kan., where he played alongside Dean Wade and for his dad, Clint… Helped the Tigers to a 77-19 record during his prep career, including consecutive state championships (Class 1A-1 and Class 2A) and a perfect 26-0 seasons in 2013-14… The 2014 state championship came in Bramlage Coliseum.
Ranks as the all-time assists leader at St. John, while he is second all-time in steals.
Named First Team Class 2A All-State by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association (KBCA) and Kansas-Sports.com as a senior in 2013-14… Also selected Second Team Class 2A by the Wichita Eagle and Third Team by the Topeka Capital-Journal in 2013-14… Named to the All-Central Prairie League team three straight seasons, including being a unanimous selection as a senior.
Averaged 9.5 points, 5.5 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals in just 18.0 minutes per game as a senior in 2013-14… Led the way in both assists and steals.

Kade Austin Kinnamon was born November 16, 1995 in Hutchinson, Kan. … Parents are Clint and Tara Kinnamon… Has a younger brother (Cole)… Father, Clint, is the head basketball coach and golf coach at St. John High School… The elder Kinnamon has led St. John to three state championships (2013, ’14, ’15)… Clint was an all-conference selection in both basketball and football at McPherson College after playing two years at Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College.
Brother, Cole, plays basketball at Cowley County (Kan.) Community College.
Uncle, Kurt, has been the head basketball coach at McPherson High School in McPherson, Kan., since 1996, leading the Bullpups to six state championships (1996, ’99, 2003, ’11, ’14, ‘15)… Cousin, Kyler, plays basketball at Fort Hays State.
Major is elementary education.
