• Shawn Anthony Meyer was born Feb. 25, 1993 in Rolla, Missouri... Parents are Anthony and Claudia Meyer... Has a younger brother, Marcus... Father, Anthony, was his first coach and is an elementary physical education teacher.

• Earned high academic honors at Blue Springs South, where he maintained a 3.5 GPA all four years.

• Earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational communications studies in May 2015.
