Lizzy Kienstra is in her fifth season as an athletic trainer at Kansas State and her second season with the women’s basketball program. Prior to joining the K-State women’s basketball support staff, Kienstra served as the K-State soccer athletic trainer for the previous three seasons.
Kienstra came to K-State following four seasons as an assistant athletic trainer at Saint Louis. She provided primary coverage to the women’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming and diving and women’s basketball programs from 2014 to 2018.
Kienstra received her Bachelor of Science in exercise science with a minor in education and a certificate in interprofessional education from Saint Louis in 2012. She completed her Master of Athletic Training at Saint Louis in 2013. As a graduate student, Kienstra worked with the Saint Louis men’s & women’s soccer teams, basketball and softball.
She is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), is a member of the Kansas Athletic Trainers’ Society and is a Board of Certification member. She has a Functional Movement Screening level I certificate, Graston Technique basic training certificate and is certified to provide CPR/First Aid/AED use by the American Red Cross.
