Kayla Brock enters her second year on the Rowing staff as a graduate assistant, after a successful athletic career for the team. Brock was a four-year letterwinner with the Wildcat program from 2013-2017. Brock helped lead the Wildcats to top three finishes in the Big 12 Championship three out of her four years in the program, and served as a captain during the 2016-17 season.

Brock also excelled in the classroom, earning Academic Big 12 honors twice, while also being honored on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll. Brock is a native of Manhattan, Kansas.

“I feel very blessed to be given this opportunity,” Brock said about her role with the program. “Rowing has been part of my life for five years. It has given me a lot of confidence and courage and I think it has built my character a lot. I am excited to be on the other side of it and I hope to give back to kids in Kansas and other places who come here and give to them what the program gave to me.”Â
