Athlete Q&A
How is rowing different than other sports you've been involved in?
Rowing takes a lot more discipline and focus than any other sport I've been in. Not only is this a physical sport, but it's also mentally and emotionally challenging. Rowing is both an individual and team sport, which makes every new goal even more exciting to reach, because even though you are competing against the other girls you are also improving your teammates and everyone is growing stronger together.
What has rowing taught you about yourself?
Rowing has taught me a lot about working hard, not just for my own accomplishments but for my entire team. It takes full dedication and commitment to be a part of this type of success, and it's not easy! Rowing is the most challenging and rigorous sport I've ever done but I love every minute of it and I'm glad to be given the opportunity to be a rower for Kansas State University.
