Emily Baustert
- Title:
- Assistant Director of Football Operations
Emily Baustert is in her first season at Kansas State in 2026, serving as the Assistant Director of Football Operations.
Baustert came to K-State after serving the previous four seasons as the Director of Football Operations and NFL Liaison at Chattanooga under head coach Rusty Wright. While working with the Mocs, Baustert ran all aspects of day-to-day operations within the football office and worked with NFL scouts. She also assisted Wright with revenue share in the program’s first year implementing the model and was entrusted with participating in the athletic department’s NIL committee. During the Fall of 2023, she served as the interim recruiting coordinator.
In 2026, Baustert was one of 40 women selected to participate in the NFL Women’s Forum presented by AWS, held in conjunction with the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, an honor recognizing top female talent in football.
Prior to her time in Chattanooga, Baustert worked as a football operations assistant at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, under head coach Sparky McEwen. She served as a media manager, worked in player development, and was the on-campus recruiting coordinator.
A native of Coopersville, Michigan, Baustert played golf at Davenport in 2016 and 2017 before working in athletics as an undergraduate in the areas of sports medicine, equipment and ticketing. She obtained her undergraduate degree in both accounting and sport management from Davenport in 2020 before earning her MBA from the university in 2022.
She is the daughter of Matt and Kathy Baustert and has one brother, Brett. She credits much of her drive and work ethic to the support and guidance of her family, who have been a constant source of encouragement throughout her career.
