Taylor Braet enters his 19th year at Kansas State in 2024 and his 12th as the Director of Football Recruiting.
 
Over the first seven seasons at K-State, Braet held the title of Special Teams Quality Control coach before turning his entire focus to recruiting. While working with the special teams, multiple Wildcats earned All-Big 12 and All-America honors, including three-straight Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year accolades.
 
Braet came to K-State as a student assistant coach in 2006 working with the defense and special teams. Prior to his stint in Manhattan, Braet was a student assistant at Butler Community College under his father, associate head coach Steve Braet, a 45-year coaching veteran with 42 of those seasons coming at Butler. Braet worked with the linebackers during the Grizzlies’ 2003 National Championship run, while he helped with the defensive ends and linebackers in 2004 and 2005 as Butler won conference championships all three seasons.
 
Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Braet graduated from Wichita Heights High School in 2003, and he serves on the board for the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame.
 
Braet, whose parents and grandparents are all Kansas natives (Kansas City and Coffeyville), is married to the former Leah Ost of Great Bend, Kansas, and the couple has two daughters, Brittany and Delaney, and a son, Briley.
