Jack Parr was one of just a handful of players at Kansas State to earn back-to-back All-America honors in 1957 and 1958. He was named to the All-Big Seven team in 1957 and 1958 while   helping lead the Wildcats to the 1958 Final Four.  The Wildcats also won consecutive conference championships in 1957 and 1958.

Parr is still ranked first in career rebounds per game (12.7), second all-time for single-season rebounding record with 340 in 1956 and in career rebounds with 889. He also ranks 10th among K-State's all-time scoring leaders with 1,184 points and is third all-time in career double-doubles with 35.

During his Wildcat career, he had 42 double-figure rebounding games, the second most in Kansas State history, and holds the school record for 20-rebound games with four. Parr went on to become a 10th-round NBA draft selection by the Cincinnati Royals in 1958 and later worked as a Big Eight basketball official following his playing career.
