Three Wildcats Advance To The Second Round Of ITA Regional

TULSA, Okla. - Three Kansas State Wildcats won their first round main draw matches today at The Omni Hotels Regional Championships at the Tulsa Southern Tennis Club in Tulsa, Okla.
Senior Alena Jecminkova, the No. 1 seed in the regional, beat Dominique Reynolds of BYU, 6-1, 6-2. She will play Lejla Porobic of New Mexico State tomorrow.
Junior Petra Sedlmajerova advanced with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Missouri's Kristina Olshanskaya. The No. 5 seed will play Brooke Parsons of Air Force.
Freshman Maria Rosenberg remained undefeated at 5-0 today with a 2-6, 7-6, 6-4 victory over Cassie Drake of Missouri. Rosenberg will play Michelle Heidbrink of New Mexico in the second round.
Senior Kathy Chuda lost her match 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 to Kansas' Cheryl Mallaiah, the No. 14 seed.
