Kansas State Freshman Kendra Wecker Has Jersey Displayed At Women's Basketball Hall of Fame

Knoxville, Tenn. - The prep jersey of Marysville High School standout and Kansas State University freshman Kendra Wecker is currently displayed in the Ring of Honor at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.
The Ring of Honor recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of high school and collegiate All-Americans. Wecker is in an exclusive group of 40 young women from across the country to have their jerseys currently displayed at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.
Wecker led Marysville High School to a 26-0 record and the school's first state championship this past season. The K-State freshman's accomplishments include: Miss Kansas Basketball as a senior, WBCA High School All-American, three-time 4A Player of the Year, three-time first team all-state, USA Today Kansas Player of the Year, Gatorade Kansas Player of the Year and the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame Player of the Year, to name a few. In addition to basketball, Wecker will compete in track and field at Kansas State.
The Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, located in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, is the world's only hall of fame dedicated solely to the athletic achievements of women. Visitors are treated to such exhibits as a riveting video showcasing the history of the women's game, memorabilia from more than 100 years of basketball, inspirational halftime speeches from legendary coaches, a number of interactive exhibits and an opportunity for visitors to showcase their talents.
