Mortimer Set School Record at Mount Sac Relays

WALNUT, Calif. - Kansas State senior Amy Mortimer broke her own school record in the women's 5,000-meter run late Thursday at the Mount SAC Relays, running 15:44.67, in the event held at Mount San Antonio College.
Incorrect results posted by meet officials at the Relays resulted in an error in reporting of the results by Wildcat athletes at the event. Mortimer finished eighth in the Invitational 5,000 and was the fifth collegian to finish. Her previous record of 15:52.99 was set at Mount SAC last year.
Wildcat sophomore Mathew Chesang was 41st overall in the men's university/open 5,000 at 14:43.10.
