Two Wildcats Named To Big 12 All-Conference Tennis Teams

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State singles player Petra Sedlmajerova and the doubles team of Sedlmajerova and Paulina Castillejos were named Big 12 All-Conference, in voting by the league's head coaches and announced by the conference office.
Sedlmajerova, a native of Usti Nad Labem, Czech Republic, picked up her third first team All-Big 12 honor in as many years and her first doubles honor. The Wildcats' No. 1 singles player finished the regular season at 16-13 overall and 11-8 in dual matches.
Castillejos picked up her first all-conference honor. The Puebla, Mexico, native is K-State's No. 6 singles player and teams with Sedlmajerova for the Wildcats' first doubles team. The pair upset then-19th ranked and 32nd ranked Texas and finished with records of 12-6 overall and in dual matches.
The 45th-ranked Wildcats find out it they will be included in the 64-team NCAA Tennis Tournament when the field is announced at 3:30 Wednesday.
