Kids clinic a success for K-State men's basketball team
Nov 16, 2004 | Men's Basketball
MANHATTAN, Kan. The Kansas State men’s basketball program hosted 102 boys and girls at its free skills clinic this past Saturday, Nov. 13 at Ahearn Field House.
The clinic, which was offered to kids in grades 1-7, included instruction by the coaching staff and players. Head coach Jim Wooldridge introduced the session before the kids were broken into age and skill levels to run various drills.
As a bonus, each person in attendance at the clinic was given a complimentary ticket to Kansas State’s game with Denver on Wednesday, Nov. 24, which tips off at 7 p.m.
It was a great opportunity for these young fans to interact with Wildcat players and the coaching staff before they tip off their highly-anticipated season on Friday against North Dakota State at 8:30 p.m. in Bramlage Coliseum.
Friday’s contest will give fans an opportunity to see two games for the price of one, as the Kansas State women’s team will tip off the evening at 6 p.m. against the Wyoming Cowgirls before the men’s game against the Bison. Fans holding a ticket to the women's game may stay for the men's game and a men's ticket-holder may come early for the women's game at no extra cost.
Tickets are available at the Kansas State Athletic Ticket Office at 1-800-221-CATS or by shopping online at www.kstatesports.com.
