Sunflower Showdown Ahead For Wildcats

MANHATTAN, Kan. State bragging rights will be on the line as the Kansas State women’s rowing team takes on rival Kansas in the annual Sunflower Showdown scheduled for Friday, Nov. 12 on the Kansas River in Lawrence, Kan.
The first race will begin at 2:45 p.m., while the last race begins at 3:45 p.m. The Wildcats, reigning Sunflower Showdown champions, placed first in all fives races (1V8+, 2V8+, 1N8+, 2N8+ and 3N8+) last year in Manhattan.
Directions to the Kansas River-Burcham Park: From the Kansas Turnpike (I-70) take West Lawrence Exit #202. Go thru first stop light, then turn left at 4th Street. Take 4th Street to third stop sign and turn left on Indiana Street. Follow Indiana Street two blocks then turn right into Burcham Park at 2nd and Indiana. Follow all signs and directions for parking.
