
TUCSON, Ariz. The Kansas State women’s golf team carded a two-round total of 608 on Saturday to sit in 13th place heading into Sunday’s third and final round at the Mountain View Collegiate.
Denver leads the 17-team field after posting a 12-over score of 588, while Iowa State is five strokes back in second place with a two-round score of 593. The Wildcats are one of five Big 12 schools in the field, which includes the second-place Cyclones, Kansas (tied for fifth), Nebraska (tied for seventh) and Colorado (14th).
Washington State's Kim Welch paced all individuals with a 3-under-par 141, while Kansas’ Amanda Costner and San Diego State’s Jenna Wilson are tied for second with 1-under-par scores of 143.
Senior Christine Boucher was the only Wildcat to post a score in the top 20, shooting a 4-over 148 to tie for 16th. Junior Stephanie Limoges is tied for 41st after firing an 8-over 152, while Arizona native Sarah Heffel sits in a tie for 61st with a two-round total of 156. Other Wildcats finishers were freshman Helene Robert, who tied for 65th with a score of 157, and senior Karen Quintelier, who registered a 158 to tie for 70th.
The Wildcats continue action at the Mountain View Collegiate on Sunday with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
