MANHATTAN, Kan. – Following her first collegiate victory at the Westbrook Invitational, Kansas State senior Noa van Beek has been named the Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Thursday.
This is the second time this spring a Wildcat has been named golfer of the week following Kelsey Chen's accolade after her win in the Puerto Rico Classic. This spring marks the first time the Big 12 is honoring golfers on a weekly basis after previously handing out the award each month.
A native of Oene, Netherlands, van Beek recorded a school-record 54-hole score of 14-under par 202 at the Westbrook Invitational, two shots better than the previous record held by Carla Bernat in the 2025 NCAA Lexington Regional, Sophie Bert in the 2025 Westbrook Invitational and Christine Boucher in the 2002 Edwin Watts Invitational.
van Beek helped the Wildcats set the team's 54-hole scoring record of 837, three shots better than the previous record of 840 posted earlier this season in the Schooner Fall Classic and in each of the previous two trips to the Westbrook Invitational.
Sitting in a three-way tie for first place midway through the final round, van Beek broke away by going bogey-free and 5-under par over her final nine holes, which included birdies on her final two holes to claim a one-shot victory. van Beek led the 84-player field with 21 birdies over the three rounds.
During the first round of the Westbrook Invitational, van Beek posted a round of 8-under par 64, which was tied for the second-lowest round in school history.
van Beek claimed K-State's third-straight individual title, the first time K-State has accomplished that feat. Namami Nakashima closed out the fall with a win at the Powercat Invitational before Chen's victory in the spring opener.
The Wildcats return to the course March 9 and 10 when they compete in the Yale Invitational West held at PGA WEST in La Quinta, California.
