KSU Rides to Saturday Win

CHICAGO, Ill.- The Kansas State women’s equestrian team took High-Point team honors with 43 points at day one of the Northern Illinois Hunt Show Saturday. The Wildcats topped nine other schools with host team Northern Illinois and Florida International tying for second. Junior Sheena Linders and Sophomore Juliann Todd finished in a three-way tie for High Point rider. After a ride off to break the tie, Linders came out as the undisputed High Point rider of the day.

Kansas State earned eight first place finishes in their perspective shows. The riders that won top honors were Juliann Todd in Novice Section C, Sheena Linders in Open Flat Section B, Macie Ayers in Advanced Walk Trot Canter Section A, Hannah Schroller in Intermediate Flat Section A, Mica Becker in Advanced Walk Trot Canter, Lianna Bodlack in Walk Trot, Jenae Grossart in Intermediate Flat Section 2 and Megan Montgomery in Canter Section D.

The Wildcats will look to continue its early-season success Sunday with one more Hunt show, which is set to begin at 9 a.m.
