Wildcats blow by New Mexico, 68-56

MANHATTAN, Kan. Cartier Martin recorded his second double-double in as many games and Kansas State overcame a 16-point first half deficit to knock of visiting New Mexico, 68-56, before 5,205 at Bramlage Coliseum Wednesday night.
Martin, who led all players with 22 points and 11 rebounds, keyed the comeback for
David Chiotti and Mark Walters each scored 16 points to pace the Lobos (3-1), who scored just 21 points in the second half after leading 30-14 with just over six minutes to play in the first half.
The Wildcats were able to slice the lead to single digits before the break on a jumper in the lane by Akeem Wright.
David Hoskins, who scored 14 of his 17 points in the second half, put the Wildcats on top for good with 6:25 to go on a short jumper that gave K-State a 52-51 lead.
For the game,
Wright added five rebounds and Hoskins pitched in with four as the Wildcats out-rebounded the Lobos 33-20.
