“There are a lot of good schools here. I think the matches were pretty hard and you have to work hard to win each point,” Yrureta said. “I stayed on the court a long time. I’m glad I won. If you go to the third set, you want to win because you’ve played so much.”
Prochazkova needed three sets to defeat
Natasha Vieira lost her first match of the day but rebounded with a straight set win over Notre Dame’s Bailey Louderback in the Round Robin White group.
Katerina Kudlackova went three sets in her opening match, losing a 16-14 tie-break in the third to
“Overall we were pretty good today - we won more than half of our total matches,”
“I think they fought well today. We had a lot of matches where we lost the first set but came back. The courts were playing a little bit fast and we were trying to adapt early. They kept their cool, had patience, and won some matches.”
