Quick Finishes 11th in Spring Opener

The team came into the final round in 12th place, but slipped behind
SMU’s Lacey Jones took home the individual title after coming into the final round in second place. Jones concluded the invitational 1-under par, firing 72-73-70215. Stephanie Ruiz of
Quick entered Tuesday’s final round tied for 14th place, but improved her second-round score by two strokes. Quick had rounds of 74-77-75226, marking her lowest score on the year. Her 11th-place performance is her third top-20 finish of the season.
Juniors Katy Heffel and Helene Robert finished in a five-way tie for 51st. Heffel carded rounds of 81-78-78237, with Robert shooting 79-78-80237. Sophomore Hailey Mireles finished in a tie for 57th (81-76-82239). Freshman Krista Nelson wrapped up her first collegiate tournament with a 66th-place finish (81-82-80243).
