Five More Wildcats Qualify for Zone Championships

“We had some riders that really excelled and were rewarded for that today,” head coach Teresa Slough said. “The girls that qualified for zones will be getting to work real soon to prepare for that competition.”
The Regional High Point Western Rider was Lindsey Salsbury, while Sara Weller received Regional Reserve High Point Western Rider honors.
Kansas State totaled four first-place finishers today, including Lindsey Hicks in Open Reining, Gina Remus in Beginner Western Horsemanship, Sara Weller in Open Western Horsemanship and Sarah Haltom in Novice Western Horsemanship.
Riders in the Regional Competition today had the opportunity to qualify for IHSA Zone Championships by finishing in the top two spots in their respective classes.
Five Wildcat riders accomplished that today, including Lindsey Hicks and Sara Weller in Open Reining, Gina Remus in Beginner Western Horsemanship, Lindsey Salsbury and Sara Weller in Open Western Horsemanship and Sarah Haltom in Novice Western Horsemanship.
The Wildcats next competition will be Saturday March 18 in
