Kvaratskhelia was the first singles player to finish, topping Iowa State’s (2-8, 0-6) Palen in straight sets at No. 1 singles, to give the Wildcats a 2-0 lead.
Da Valle’s straight-set win over Beth Chermel at No. 4 singles put K-State up 3-0 and extended her winning streak to five matches. The win also tied Da Valle with Perevoschikova and Kvaratskhelia for the team lead with 17 singles wins this season.
Katerina Kudlackova clinched the match for
Jessica Simosa won at No. 2 singles for
Olga Klimova and Tereza Prochazkova also notched wins for the Wildcats in the team’s third sweep of the season.
