Two Wildcats are currently in the top 20, with junior Katy Heffel pacing the team with a first-round 4-over 76. Heffel is currently in a six-way tie for 10th and one shot behind a five-way tie for fifth. Junior Helene Robert is tied for 16th with 11 other student-athletes after shooting a 5-over 77.
One shot out of a tie with Robert and for a top-20 placing is sophomore Michelle Regan. Regan fired a 6-over 78 on the day to sit in a tie for 27th. Kali Quick is currently tied for 43rd with an 18-hole score of 81. Hailey Mireles is tied for 56th after shooting a round of 86.
In the lead after the first round is No. 21 Oklahoma State with a 13-over 301. Four Cowgirls are currently in the top 20, including two in the top 5. No. 12 Texas A&M sits one shot behind OSU. Aggie Ashley Knoll is currently atop the leaderboard with a 3-under 69. Knoll is the only individual to shoot under par on the day.
