The head-to-head match will feature a total of 16 K-State riders in both English and Western styles. English will send seven riders and Western will have nine riders compete.
On the English side, K-State’s squad in Equitation over Fences will include senior Whitney Snyder, 4-0, junior Leslie Yates, 3-1, sophomore Kendall Marvin, 2-1-1 with two MVP awards, sophomore Ashley Collett, 2-0, and sophomore Paige Sullivan.
In Equitation on the Flat the Wildcats will showcase Snyder, Yates, Marvin and junior Jennifer Giraldin, 2-0. Junior Katie Mellon will complete the Wildcat lineup on the flat, making her varsity equestrian debut.
“Our riders are where they need to be for this weekend,” Foster said. “We plan to ride strong, smart, and bold to finish with more points at the end of the day.”
In Western, K-State’s Horsemanship team will feature sophomore Laura Browne, 2-0, sophomore Courtney Watters, 1-1, junior Jana Lechtenberg, junior Alyssa Freeman, 2-0 in Horsemanship and sophomore Mikaela Sundgren, who is making her varsity debut.
In Reining, K-State will send a young squad of sophomore Morgan Campbell, 1-1with one MVP award, sophomore Dani Pettera, 1-1, sophomore Kaylee Stout, 1-1 with one MVP award in Reining, freshman Alecia Zimbelman, 2-0.
