
TEMPE, Ariz. Kansas State women’s tennis finished play this fall with the final day of the ASU Thunderbird Invitational on Sunday at the Whiteman Tennis Center.
Antea Huljev and Natasha Vieira each ended the fall campaign on a high-note, winning singles matches in straight sets. Huljev, a freshman from Velenje, Slovenia, set down Alejandra Boeker of Purdue, 6-1, 6-3. Huljev ends the fall with two straight wins and a 5-6 record in her debut.
Vieira, a sophomore from Carabobo, Venezuela, defeated Kari Wig of Michigan, 6-0, 6-1. This was Vieira’s second straight win in straight sets.
The Wildcats will return to action Jan. 18-20 at the Georgia Invitational, a preseason spring event.
