Four Wildcat Equestrian Riders Compete in IHSA Semifinals

Competitors in the semifinal show must have placed in the top 4 of their respective classes in order to qualify for IHSA Nationals May 3-6.
Junior Emily Wolfe competed in Beginner Horsemanship and placed third qualifying her for nationals. Junior Leanne Thompson placed eighth in Novice coming up just short of qualifying.
2006 National Champion in Intermediate Western Horsemanship, Sarah Coomes placed sixth in Intermediate Horsemanship Saturday. Finally, junior Erin Paulsen also performed well, but also came up just short of qualifying as she finished fifth in Intermediate Horsemanship.
“I think the girls rode great,” western coach Casie Lisabeth said. “They had the same consistent rides that they have had all season and I am happy with how they rode today.”
K-State’s English riders will compete in IHSA Regionals next weekend in Lake in the Hills,
