Cats Conclude Action at Kansas Relays

K-State registered a trio of third-place finishes and four other top-five finishes. Leading the way with one of the third-place finishes was sophomore Liliani Mendez with a time of 4:29.06 in the women’s 1,500-meter run. Mendez has a season-best and an NCAA Midwest regional qualifying time of 4:26.38 from the Jim Click Shootout on March 24.
Also registering a third-place finish was Marnyka Honeycutt in the women’s 100-meter dash. Honeycutt clocked a wind-aided time of 11.73 after setting a legal personal season-best of 11.90 in the preliminaries. Honeycutt also helped the women’s 4x100-meter relay to a fourth-place effort of 45.45.
