K-State Tied for 10th Heading into Final Round

UC Irvine was able to hold on to the lead despite finishing nine strokes behind its day one score. The Anteaters head into the final day of the tournament with a score of 293-302595 (+19).
The story of round two was Julia Potter of
Junior Morgan Moon, currently pacing the Wildcat’s with a score of 73-77150 (+6), dropped from fifth to 12th in round two, but is only one stroke out of a tie for sixth place.
“Today was a day of mixed results,” said head coach Kristi Knight. “It was tougher out there today to score, but Elise (Houtz) and Morgan (Moon) handled the conditions pretty well and had solid rounds.”
Freshman Paige Osterloo moved up two spots in the second round and is currently tied for 51st place with a 79-80159 (+15). Sophomore Elise Houtz, who was tied for 88th place after round one, climbed to a tie for 57th carding a 85-75160 (+16).
The third and final round of the Price’s Give’em Five Collegiate will begin with a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. (MST) on Wednesday. Results will be posted on www.k-statesports.com as soon as they become available.
