Wildcats Tally Mixed Results at Two Sites

The doubles pair of senior Katerina Kudlackova and sophomore Antea Huljev were defeated by the duo of Nanar Airpetian and Anouk Tigu of Arkansas in the round of 16, 8-2.
Huljev had to put the doubles defeat behind her, as she returned to the court in the late morning for her round of 32 singles match. The Velenje, Slovenia, product suffered her first three-set loss of the season, as Kristina Doerr of BYU captured the win, 6-4, 3-6, 6-0. Huljev finishes the fall with an 8-4 singles record.

Also capturing singles wins on Friday were junior Natasha Vieira and freshman Andrea Straznicka. Vieira ended a four-match losing streak with a straight set win over Bolan Tarkoe of Iowa State, 6-0, 6-2. Straznicka tallied her third win in five matches with a straight set decision over Ximena Fuentes of UTEP.
The Wildcats will continue action at the New Mexico Invitational through Sunday.
