
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Kansas State women’s tennis swept through its three singles matches on Saturday at the Lobo Tennis Club during the New Mexico Invite.
Freshman Petra Chuda improved her career-best win streak to three matches with a straight set win over Eliane Bourdages of New Mexico, 6-4, 6-2. The product of Sokolnice, Czech Republic improved her record to 6-5 during her first season with the Wildcats.
Another newcomer to earn a win on Saturday was freshman Andrea Straznicka. The native of Lysice, Czech Republic defeated Allie Chermel of Air Force, 6-1, 7-5 and moved her record to 6-7 and 4-4 in straight sets.
Senior Natasha Vieira registered her fourth win of the fall by sweeping past Jessica Gardefjord of New Mexico, 6-0, 6-1. Vieira is now 4-5 during the fall and 4-4 in straight set matches.
As a team this fall, the Wildcats have notched a 37-37 singles record and are 28-27 in two-set matches.
Kansas State will finish its fall season on Sunday with the conclusion of the New Mexico Invitational.
