Wildcats Look to Finish Strong at Pacific

LOOK AT THE FIELD: The field contains 11 teams from across the country, with six teams hailing from the state of
LAST TIME OUT: The Wildcats took home the second place trophy for the second week in a row at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate. With their finish, the Wildcats have placed in the top five in all five tournaments this year. Robert Streb led the team with a 12th place finish. Mitchell Gregson finished one stroke behind Streb in a tie for 15th. Sophomore Kyle Smell placed 36th while Ross Geubelle finished 43rd. Fellow Wildcat golfer Jason Schulte, finished in 49th place.
2007 PACIFIC INVITATIONAL: A school-record team score and six-stroke lead wasn’t enough to hold off a charge from the top-ranked team in the country as Kansas State finished in second place at the Pacific Invitational last year. UNC Charlotte bested the Wildcats with a team score of 278-275-271824 (-40). Robert Streb and Joe Ida tied for third place with 13-under par 203.
