Coastal Plain League
Sophomore-to-be Carter Jurica helped the Fayetteville (N.C.) Swap Dogs to a 4-2 record last week, improving their record to 14-13... Jurica went 4-for-22 with three RBI last week, which lowered his season average to .250 (22-for-88)... He also has three doubles, 13 RBI and is 5-for-7 in stolen bases... Jason King did not play last week due to injury.
Jayhawk Baseball League
Following last Monday’s game, the

Drew Biery, playing for the Topeka Golden Giants, was hitting .295 (13-for-44) with four doubles, two home runs and nine RBI through last Monday... Statistics for the Golden Giants have not been recently updated.
Texas
The McKinney Marshalls, with junior-to-be Justin Bloxom, are on a six-game win streak and have ascended to the top of the TCL standings at 12-6... Bloxom is hitting .160 (8-for-50) with one double, two home runs and seven RBI... On Thursday against Coppell, Bloxom hit a two-run, game-tying home run in the bottom of the ninth to send the game into extra innings, where the

Senior-to-be Dane Yelovich had an outstanding week for the Moses Lake Pirates in the West Coast Collegiate League, going 9-for-20 with one double and three RBI... He improved his average to a team-leading .358 (19-for-53) with four doubles and seven RBI... He is also 7-for-12 in stolen base attempts ... Against Corvallis on Saturday, Yelovich went 3-for-4 with one RBI, one run scored and two stolen bases... He also went 2-for-5 with two RBI on Tuesday against

Future seniors Lance Hoge (pitcher) and Rob Vaughn (catcher), junior Adam Muenster (infield), sophomore Justin Lindsey (pitcher) and incoming freshman Nick Martini (outfielder) are playing with the Junction City Generals this summer, but updated stats are not available.

Ben Hornbeck: A 32nd-round pick by the Oakland Athletics, Hornbeck was just recently assigned to the Vancouver Canadians in the Class A Short-Season Northwest League, the same league as other Wildcat draftees Trevor Hurley and Nate Tenbrink... In two appearances, Hornbeck has pitched 2.0 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, while walking one and striking out two.

Eric Eymann: Double A Chattanooga shortstop Eric Eymann struggled last week as he dropped his average from.306 to .256 after going 5-for-26 during the week...
