Senior Whitney Snyder will lead the Wildcats in both equitation on the flat and equitation over fences as she finished the fall semester with a 5-2 record on the flat and 6-1 record over fences.
Senior Tara Hallan will be making her season debut in Western competition against the Aggies while the other Wildcat riders have already shown this season.
In varsity horsemanship, senior Alyssa Freeman will lead the Wildcats after finishing with a 6-1 record for the fall semester and sophomore Alecia Zimbelman will lead K-State in reining after a 6-1 finish as well.
“I am anxious to get the team back into the competition arena,” said Casie Williamson, Western head coach. “This first competition will be a good measurement of where we stand going into this semester. The girls have been working really hard and putting in extras rides to get prepared, both physically and mentally. We are looking for clean, solid rides this weekend that will give us the confidence we need for the rest of the semester.”
Results from Saturday’s show will be posted as they become available.
