Pyle in a Tie for 10th After Round One of Alamo

Pyle birdied three of the first nine holes and recorded one more on the back nine as the sophomore looks to crack the top-10 for the third time this year.
K-State totaled a 22-over par 310 in the first round to sit behind 11th-place Central Arkansas, which recorded a 20-over par 308.
No. 17 Colorado leads all teams after firing a 3-over par 291 and is front of second-place and 38th-ranked TCU by three strokes, which carded a 6-over par 294.
Brooke Beeler of TCU and Emily Talley of Colorado are in tie for first with a score of 5-under par 67, five strokes ahead of the nearest competitor.
K-State freshman Gianna Misenhelter is in tie for 27th after carding a 4-over par 76, while Paige Osterloo scored a 6-over par 78 to sit in a tie for 45th. Each managed three birdies on the day.
Ami Storey scored a 10-over par 82, putting her in a tie for 68th. Rounding out K-State’s lineup was Elise Houtz in a tie for 71st after a score of 11-over par 83.
K-State will tee off the second round of the Alamo Invitational at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Live scoring can be followed at www.golfstat.com and results will be posted at www.kstatesports.com after the conclusion of the round.
