"We are very excited to add Millie to our family; not only she is an established player, she is very hungry and motivated to work hard and get better," said Steinberg about her incoming freshman. "Millie is an aggressive player with several significant weapons and we believe she will make an immediate impact in both singles and doubles play. Most importantly she fits our culture of honest hard work and I believe will make a smooth transition into the K-State family."
Stretton, a product of Edinburgh, Scotland, is ranked as the number two player in Scotland and achieved an International Tennis Federation ranking of 414. Stretton also represented Scotland four times and played for Great Britain in the Winter Cup, a European team championship.
Kansas State ended its first season under Steinberg in the 2014-15 season with a 9-17 overall record while advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2015 Big 12 Championships. The Wildcats welcome back juniors Iva Bago, Sara Castellano, Livia Cirnu, Palma Juhasz and Maria Panaite and sophomore Carolina Costamagna.
