MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State senior Katherine Gravel-Coursol was named an All-American Scholar by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) for the fourth-consecutive year, the organization announced Wednesday.
The student-athletes named to the team from NCAA Divisions I, II and III must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50. Gravel-Coursol was one of 952 women’s collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor.
A native of Mirabel, Quebec, Gravel-Coursol competed in all 11 events during her senior season and held a 76.68 stroke average. She moved into a tie for sixth place in K-State history with 43 tournaments played and a fifth-place tie with 120 rounds played.
The honor from the WGCA is the latest for her work in the classroom. An advertising major, Gravel-Coursol was a three-time First Team Academic All-Big 12 performer to become the 13th player in program history with three consecutive first-team accolades and the 15th Wildcat to earn academic all-conference honors in all three seasons to be eligible for the award
The K-State women’s golf team opens the 2017-18 season with the Minnesota Invitational, September 11-12, at Prestwick Golf Course in Woodbury, Minnesota.
