Decker Selected for ITA Women’s All-American Championships

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Incoming K-State tennis freshman Margot Decker has been invited by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) to participate in the Riviera Women's All-American Tennis Championships at Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, California, the organization announced Friday.
Decker, a native of Blodelsheim, France, was one of just 10 college freshmen to be invited into the prestigious tournament by the ITA, which begins play on September 30 and runs through October 8. Decker will begin the tournament as a pre-qualifying singles participant.
Decker comes to K-State highly decorated and experienced, playing internationally and achieving a world ranking of No. 822 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). She participated in the French Open Juniors Championship, reaching the semifinal round for ages 18 and under.
Part of a K-State recruiting class that was ranked 14th nationally by TennisRecruiting.net, Decker and the Wildcats begin their fall campaign at the Mizzou Invite in Columbia, Missouri, on September 21.
