MANHATTAN, Kansas - Kansas State continues its season-opening three-game home stand on Friday, November 16, as the Wildcats host North Texas at 7 p.m., in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Friday night's game can be seen live on ESPN3, as Matt Walters (play-by-play) and Missy Heidrick (color analyst) will have the call.  
• The Wildcats captured their ninth straight season-opening win with a 61-46 come from behind rally over Omaha on Monday, November 12. K-State outscored Omaha, 39-16, in the second half.
• This was the third straight season-opener that K-State has held an opponent to 49 points or less.
• Kansas State had three players reach double figures in scoring: redshirt junior forward Jasauen Beard (12 pts), sophomore guard Rachel Ranke (11 pts) and junior forward Peyton Williams (10 pts).  
• Beard, making her K-State career debut, registered her 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting and added five rebounds, two assists and two steals to her final stat line. Of the 71 players to make their K-State career debuts since the 2000-01 season, Beard is the fifth player to tally 10 or more points, five or more rebounds, two or more assists and two or more steals.
• Ranke added five rebounds and two steals to her ledger. This was the 22nd career game in double figures for Ranke and her 10th career game with five or more rebounds.
• Williams, a 2019 Katrina McClain Award Watch list selection, tallied her eighth career double-double as she finished with 10 rebounds, four assists, three blocks and steal. This was the second time in three seasons that Williams has opened with a double-double.

• #KStateWBB turned up the defensive intensity in the fourth quarter against Omaha and surrendered five points on 2-of-11 shooting to the Mavericks in the final 10 minutes.
• The five points were the fewest K-State allowed in a fourth quarter since Nov. 17, 2017, against Florida A&M when they held the Rattlers to four points on 1-of-17 shooting.
• Since the start of the quarter system in the 2015-16 season, Kansas State has held opponents to nine or fewer points in a quarter 47 times including a school record two points allowed at Kansas on Jan. 20, 2016.

• North Texas (1-1) has split its first two games of the season, as they downed Mid-America Christian in the opener and fell to (11/8) Texas on Monday, November 12, 64-54. This will be the first road trip of the season for North Texas and the first trip to Manhattan since Nov. 25, 1983.
• The Mean Green finished the 2017-18 season with a 17-14 overall record and a tied for 10th-place finish in Conference USA. Entering this season, North Texas was chosen for an seventh-place finish in the league's preseason poll.
• North Texas is led on the sidelines by fourth-year head coach Jalie Mitchell. Mitchell, a 2002 graduate of North Texas owns a mark of 41-53 (.436) during her time with the Mean Green.
• On the floor, the Mean Green are led by redshirt senior Terriell Bradley. Bradley, a 2018-19 Conference USA Preseason Team selection, is averaging 18.5 points and 5.0 rebounds to begin the season.

• K-State has won 21 of its last 24 games in the month of November dating back to a 49-46 win over Virginia on Nov. 29, 2013.
• The Wildcats have ended the 11th month with a .500 or better record in eight straight seasons, including a 6-0 mark in 2016-17. Overall, K-State has registered a .500 or better record in November 38 times in its history.

Kansas State Roster Stands Tall
• Since Kansas State head coach Jeff Mittie took the over the program prior to the 2014-15 season, K-State's roster has continued to grow larger in stature.
• In the 2018-19 season, K-State's roster features 14 total players and 10 are six feet or taller, including six players 6'2" or taller.
• This is the fourth straight season K-State's roster has averaged a height of 6'0" or taller and exceeded 950 or more inches combined.

Wildcats Send Back Shots Under Mittie
• Under head coach Jeff Mittie, Kansas State has piled up blocked shots. K-State has sent back 624 shots for 4.66 per game in the 134 games.
• Against Omaha in the season-opener, K-State blocked eight shots. This was the second straight season opener that K-State blocked eight or more shots. The Wildcats registered a block rate of 17.4 percent in the opener, which according to herhoopstats.com, ranks 18th in the nation.
• In the 2017-18 season, the Wildcats blocked 160 shots (4.71 bpg). The 160 blocks rank third in school history for a single season.
• This was the fourth straight season with 100 or more blocks and the 12th time in program history.
• K-State ranked 37th in the nation and third in the Big 12 in blocks per game. According to herhoopstats.com, K-State ranked 36th in the nation in block rate (11.7 percent).
• K-State had 19 games in 2017-18 with five or more blocks.

Full Beard
• Redshirt junior Jasauen Beard made her K-State debut against Omaha on November 12 and paced the Wildcats in scoring.
• Beard finished with 12 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals in the win.
• Of the 71 players to make their K-State debuts since the 2000-01 season, Beard is the fifth player to tally 10 or more points, five or more rebounds, two or more assists and two or more steals.
• This was the seventh NCAA Division I game in Beard's career after playing in six games at Oral Roberts in 2015-16.
• Beard set career-highs in points, field goals made and attempted, rebounds and assists against Omaha.

Williams Strong from the Foul Line    
• Forward Peyton Williams has continued to show an improved free throw stroke entering her junior season.
• Williams started the season 2-of-2 from the line and tied Ashley Sweat (2008-09) for the school record for consecutive free throws made at 33. She ended the 2017-18 season with 31 consecutive free throws made, which started at Texas on Feb. 10.
• For her career, Williams is shooting .795 (120-of-151). Her .795 career free throw percentage ranks seventh in program history.
• In the 2017-18 season, Williams was 89-of-104 (.856) from the foul line to rank third in the Big 12 and 35th in the nation. She set career season-highs for made and attempted free throws. She made five or more free throws in seven games last season.
• Williams ranked tied for sixth in program history for free throw percentage in a season.

Rebounding Ranke    
• Sophomore guard Rachel Ranke has improved her rebounding ability dating back to the final seven games of the 2017-18 season and into the start of the 2018-19 season.
• Ranke has pulled in 43 rebounds in the last eight games, 5.4 rebounds per game. This includes four games with five or more rebounds and her career-high of 10 rebounds against Saint Louis on March 15, 2018.
• In her career, Ranke has 10 career games with five or more rebounds.
