MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State head women's tennis coach Jordan Smith announced the signing of Karine-Marion Job to a National Letter of Intent (NLI) during the fall signing period Wednesday.
"We are very excited to add Karine to our K-State tennis family," said Smith. "Karine's mindset and work ethic will fit in seamlessly with our current culture. Karine has shown equal success in singles and doubles in her young career and we look forward to her joining our program in January."
Job, a native of Lyon, France, reached an International Tennis Federation (ITF) world ranking of No. 456 in her career. She collected multiple singles victories over professional players ranked inside the top 750 of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA).
In her doubles career, Job reached the semifinal round of the 7éme Engie Open de Macon, a professional WTA tournament in Macon, France.
The 5-foot-8 Job will join the program in January and be eligible to play in the spring dual season.
K-State recently concluded its fall season and embark on the spring dual season on Saturday, January 19 at home against South Dakota. The Wildcats qualified for their first NCAA Tournament since 2003 last season, reaching the Round of 32 after defeating No. 26 Kentucky. The Cats finished the 2018 spring season as the 42nd ranked team in the country.
