K-State Volleyball Announces Spring Competition Schedule

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State volleyball will participate in four competitions during the spring season, including matchups with Wichita State, Arkansas and Minnesota beginning March 15, head coach Suzie Fritz announced.
The Wildcats' spring schedule is comprised of four events spanning from March 15 to April 21, beginning with a matchup against Wichita State played at McPherson College at 4 p.m.
K-State will next travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas, for a training and competition session against the Arkansas Razorbacks on April 7, followed by a 12-team tournament hosted by UMKC the following weekend on April 14. Teams scheduled to compete in Kansas City, among others, include Creighton, Missouri, Northern Iowa and Saint Louis.
The Cats will wrap up their spring campaign on April 21 as they will match up with the Minnesota Golden Gophers in Indianola, Iowa, at Simpson College.
K-State returns all but one letterwinner from its 2017 squad while a pair of freshmen, Abigail Archibong (Shawnee, Kansas) and Gloria Mutiri (Sand Springs, Oklahoma) joined the program in January. K-State concluded its 2017 season with a 10-19 overall record (3-13 Big 12), ending its streak of three straight NCAA Tournament appearances.
