
Isaac Turns in Strong Performance on Day Two

GREENVILLE, S.C.– Kansas State sophomore Reid Isaac had a strong showing during round two as she carded a 2-under par 70 on Saturday at the Lady Paladin Invitational held at the par-72, 6,278-yard Furman University Golf Course.
Isaac, who is tied for 12thplace, played both nines at 1-under par while carding six birdies and four bogeys during the round.
The Wildcats improved their score by four strokes during round two by carding a 10-over par 298, and they enter final-round play in 11thplace. K-State is two strokes from both Memphis and Tulsa, which are tied for ninth place.
"Reid played a solid round," head coach Kristi Knight said. "As a team we made a few more birdies today. We had one to two hole stretches where we lost shots. We closed with three bogeys on number nine, so that hurt us. We are continuing to improve with each round we play."
Sophomore Niamh McSherry trails Isaac by six strokes as she is at 7-over par 151 and is tied in 44thplace. One stroke behind McSherry is sophomore Ella Adams, who is tied for 52ndat 8-over par 152. Rounding out the Wildcat lineup was freshman Briony Bayles and senior Chloe Weir, who are at 10-over par 154 and 12-over 156 to be tied for 63rdand 69thplace, respectively.
Tournament host Furman held its top spot at the conclusion of round two. The eighth-ranked Lady Paladins are at 10-under par 566 and hold a 14-stroke lead over second-place Kennesaw State. Haylee Harford of Furman is leading on the individual leaderboard with a score of 8-under par 136.
The Lady Paladin Invitational will conclude Sunday with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. (ET). Live results can be followed at www.birdiefire.com.
