
Job Named Big 12 Player of the Week

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State freshman Karine-Marion Job was named Big 12 Women's Tennis Player of the Week after a perfect weekend and helping the Wildcats to a pair of dual wins over the weekend, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Job capped off the weekend a perfect 4-0, racking up two doubles wins as well as two singles victories. Her singles winning streak is now up to four matches as she is 5-1 to lead the Cats.
The native of Lyon, France, helped K-State (5-2) cap a 4-3 comeback victory over North Texas with her two wins. Against the Mean Green, Job picked up a straight-set victory playing at the No. 4 position in the singles lineup for the first time this season.
Additionally, Job claimed a 6-2, 6-0 win over Arizona's Csenge Furak at the fifth position that aided K-State's sweep of Arizona in Dallas on Saturday. It marked K-State's first win over Arizona in program history.
Paired with junior Ines Mesquita, the duo sealed two wins playing at the second double spot in the lineup, claiming 6-4 wins over UNT and Arizona.
The Cats kick off a seven-match homestand on Thursday against SMU at 12 p.m. at Body First Indoor Tennis Center. Saturday marks a home doubleheader against Cincinnati (12 p.m.) and UMKC (5 p.m.)
