MESA, Ariz. – Kansas State sophomores Reid Isaac and Niamh McSherry each placed in the top 20 of the Notre Dame Clover Cup following Sunday's final round held at the par-72, 6,184-yard Longbow Golf Club.

Isaac led the Cats as she carded a 2-over par 74 during the final round to finish tied for 18that 9-over par 225. McSherry finished Sunday at 4-over par 76 to tie for 20thoverall at 7-over par 226.

As a team, the Wildcats finished in eighth place at 50-over par 914 following a score of 15-over par 303 over the final 18 holes.

"It was a shoulda-woulda-coulda tournament for us," head coach Kristi Knight said. "We were toward the top of the field in birdies, however we made too many double bogeys. This is a game of score, and we let too many shots get away. However, this event was a positive step forward from last week. We just need to keep improving."

A product of Montgomery, Texas, Isaac tallied her second top-20 finish of the year and first of the spring slate. McSherry recorded her best finish of the season, topping a tie for 35that the Lady Paladin Invitational in September.

Senior Chloe Weir followed McSherry on the leaderboard, tying for 38thwith a score of 15-over par 231, while Ella Adams tied for 51stplace at 18-over par 234. Freshman Briony Bayles rounded out the scoring lineup with a 34-over par 250 to tie for 79th, and sophomore Darby Deans, who competed as an individual, shot a 31-over par 247 to tie in 75thplace.

Top-ranked USC registered an impressive 12-over par 876 to take home the team title, besting second-place Houston by 16 strokes. There was a four-way tie for first place between Kentucky's Leonie Bettel, Oklahoma's Libby Winans, Houston's Leonie Harm and USC's Jennifer Chang as each carded a 2-under par 214.
