Weather Alters Sunflower Showdown Schedule

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Due to severe weather in the Lawrence area, Game 2 of the Dillons Sunflower Showdown between K-State and Kansas has been postponed and will be part of a Sunday doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. from Hoglund Ballpark.
First pitch against the Jayhawks was originally set for 11 a.m. Saturday before being delayed and ultimately postponed.
K-State (25-29, 8-14 Big 12) dropped the series opener to KU (29-25, 10-12 Big 12) Friday, 10-0. The Wildcats have clinched a spot in the 2019 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, which begins Wednesday.
Both games Sunday will air on ESPN+ and the ESPN app. The first game of the doubleheader will air on the K-State Sports Radio Network with the finale on News Radio KMAN (93.3 FM, 1350 AM). Live audio is available at K-StateSports.com/watch.
