Morgan Coffman Named to Google Cloud Academic All-America First Team

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State track and field senior Morgan Coffman was selected to the Google Cloud Academic All-American First Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced on Thursday.

Coffman was selected as one of 90 individuals selected to the Google Cloud Academic All-America Division I Cross Country/Track and Field teams, selected with a 4.0 GPA in Management and Life Sciences. Coffman was just one of 33 women selected with a 4.0 GPA and was one of three individuals selected from the Big 12 Conference.

The award marks Coffman's first Academic All-America team selection of her career, after she was named to the Academic All-Big 12 team for the third time, all of which she was nominated with a 4.0 GPA. Coffman was also named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team in 2017 and 2018 and recipient of the Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award in 2018.

While at Kansas State, Coffman has made an impact on the track and field team, earning letter winner honors in each of the past three years and most recently placing fourth in the women's heptathlon at the 2019 Big 12 Outdoor Championships in Norman, Oklahoma. Coffman then rounded out her collegiate career by qualifying for her second-career NCAA West Preliminary, where she placed 30th in the women's high jump.
