Nov 11, 2020 | Tennis
MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State women's tennis coach Jordan Smith announced Wednesday (November 11) the signing of Dinara Alloyarova (Dy-NARA Alloy-AH-Rova) to a National Letter of Intent for the 2021-22 campaign.
"We're very excited to have a player like Dinara join our team," said Smith. "Dinara has proven to be one of the best junior tennis players in Russia. She competes on the junior national team. I believe she has the qualities to help strengthen our team. During her time at K-State, we will be able to help Dinara reach her goals on and off the court. We are pumped to have her be part of our Wildcat tennis family!"
A product of Engels, Russia, Alloyarova has received numerous rankings from the International Tennis Federation (ITF) during her time in Asia. Alloyarova has owned a spot as high as No. 385 in the World Junior Rankings while earning a position at No. 1188 in the ITF Pro Rankings. The incoming freshman has collected a universal tennis rating of 10.83 while garnering spots in the U16 (No. 11), U18 (No. 33) and women's national rankings (No. 98).
A first-generation college student, Alloyarova trains out of Ozerov Academy in her home country and is guided by Svetlana Gasanova and Elena Bryukhovets.
With the help of her coaches and trainers, Alloyarova has racked up several individual titles during her young tennis career, which includes taking home the crowns at the 2020 ITF J5 Singles Tournament and three more titles during the 2018 season (ITF J5 Singles Baltic Wind Tournament, ITF J5 Doubles Green Cup Tournament and ITF J4 Doubles TZS Cup Tournament).
Her success has not stopped there, as the Russian standout also posted runner-up finishes at the 2020 ITF J3 Singles Tournament, 2018 ITF J4 Singles TZS Cup Tournament and 2019 U18 Russian National Teams Championships.
Alloyarova's trophy list is capped off with a bronze medal at the 2020 Russian National Doubles Championship.
K-State is now transitioning to its Spring 2021 season after recording 37 singles' victories over the course of three tournaments this fall campaign.
