Marshall was named to Chicago's initial 44-man active roster ahead of the 60-game 2020 Major League Baseball season. Marshall had a career year in 2019, going 4-2 with a career-best 2.49 ERA in 55 relief appearances for the White Sox. He logged a career-high 50 2/3 innings while striking out 41 batters to go with a 1.30 WHIP. Marshall made his MLB debut in 2014 with the Arizona Diamondbacks and has spent time with the Seattle Mariners and Cleveland Indians.
